Fandom Portraits

These portraits combine my passion for capturing people’s likeness with my love of all things “nerdy.” I will portray you like your favourite character, be it inspired by an established character (from a game, film, book, or show) or an original character (from DnD, or any other mode of creation). Using a realism style these paintings merge contemporary cosplay with the centuries old tradition of oil painted portraiture.

traditional portraits

Taking a traditional realism approach, these oil painting portraits capture the subject in a timeless way. I strive to portray both the likeness of the subject, as well as their individual characters.

Pet Portraits

From horses to lizards and everything in between, these portraits immortalize your pet. I am passionate about capturing their personalties in each portrait as well as their likeness. There are two primary options for media; oil paint or watercolour.

How to Commission a Portrait

Step 1: Select your reference images. The higher quality the images, the better. I will only work from photographs that you have taken, or that you have the rights to, or with written permission of the photographer, or that I have taken myself (if local).

Step 2: Decide on a size and medium. For additional information about sizes, pricing, and payment options, click here.

Step 3: Using the provided form here, contact me with details about what kind of portrait you would like to commission, as well as any additional questions. Feel free to tell me more about your chosen fandom, the person being painted, or about your pet! I will reach out to you to finalize the details and provide an estimated time of completion. I strive to have a painting finished as quickly as possible.

Step 4: Once the first three steps are complete, you can submit the first payment. Watercolour pet portraits are done in one payment, with a quick turn around. Oil paintings are larger, and are broken up into two equal payments. The first payment must be submitted before any work begins. To submit a payment, click here.

Step 5: The painting will be completed, and an image will be sent for your approval. Some corrections can be made if necessary. Once the painting is approved, the final payment can be submitted here. After the final payment is submitted, the painting will be shipped to you (or delivered if you are local).
